What Will You Do?
As our Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in our program by performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents, developing and monitoring age-appropriate treatment plans, and prescribing psychiatric medications with careful consideration of developmental factors. Collaborating with child therapists, family counselors, case managers, school personnel, and pediatric primary care physicians, you will ensure appropriate medication monitoring and adherence while considering the unique needs of developing minds and bodies. Your expertise will also be sought for psychiatric consultations and coordinating services with clients' pediatric primary care physicians and educational teams. Timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical records will be an essential part of your responsibilities, while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and CHI guidelines. Finally, your ability to work with diverse pediatric populations and understand the cultural, social, and developmental barriers associated with accessing mental health care will be crucial, promoting a positive team-based approach to treatment and care that involves families and caregivers.

Qualifications
Required:
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania
- Prescriptive privileges - DEA Controlled Substances
- Knowledge of evidence-based best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry, trauma-informed care, developmental considerations, and family-centered treatment approaches
- Understanding of childhood developmental milestones and age-appropriate interventions
- Experience working with diverse pediatric populations across developmental stages
- Board certification or board eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent experience
- Completion of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residency/fellowship training OR Alternative consideration for MD/DOs with extensive relevant experience working with children and families (fellowship requirement may be waived for candidates with C&A mental health experience)
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus for some of our patients and families but not required
