A respected Walnut Creek law firm is hiring a Billing Specialist to join its finance team. This is a full-time, on-site role for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers and helping a busy firm run smoothly. You'll work closely with attorneys, accounting staff, and clients to make sure billing is accurate, on time, and well organized.

What You'll Do
- Prepare, review, and send client invoices
- Process attorney time entries and make billing adjustments
- Manage pre-bills and work with attorneys on edits
- Submit e-bills through client billing portals and follow outside counsel billing guidelines
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply payments and reconcile client accounts
- Answer client billing questions professionally and promptly
- Run billing reports and support month-end close
- Billing or accounting experience, ideally at a law firm or professional services firm
- Familiarity with legal billing software such as Aderant, Elite, Clio, or similar (preferred)
- Experience with e-billing portals and LEDES formats (a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Clear communication and good customer service
- Ability to manage deadlines and stay organized
