Agricultural Loan Officer - Hybrid Opportunity

Are you a relationship-focused lending professional who understands agriculture and wants to make a meaningful impact within the farming community?

A respected financial-services organization is seeking a motivated Agricultural Loan Officer to develop and manage a high-quality loan portfolio while delivering exceptional service to farmers and agricultural business owners.

This hybrid position combines in-office responsibilities with regular travel throughout the market to meet clients, develop new relationships, and support local agricultural operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, grow, and manage a profitable agricultural loan portfolio while meeting established production and location objectives.
• Build lasting relationships with farmers, agricultural businesses, community partners, and referral sources through regular outreach and client visits.
• Evaluate credit requests, collect and analyze financial information, and support sound underwriting and loan-structuring decisions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate loan documentation while ensuring compliance with internal policies, lending regulations, and risk-management standards.
• Support efficient loan processing, closing, servicing, and ongoing portfolio administration to provide a positive client experience.
• Collaborate with senior lenders and leadership to develop business-development, marketing, and market-growth strategies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Agricultural background or a strong understanding of farming operations, agricultural businesses, and the financing needs of producers.
• Approximately 1-3 years of experience involving credit analysis, underwriting, agricultural lending, commercial lending, or a closely related area.
• Demonstrated ability to develop business, establish trust, and maintain productive client and community relationships.
• Working knowledge of loan documentation, credit administration, financial analysis, and lending compliance.
• Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and client-service skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in both office and field environments.
• *Salary up to $130,000 depending on experience
