This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in wastewater management and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.)
- Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational data
- Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust treatment as necessary
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs on treatment systems
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports
- Work safely and comply with all company safety protocols and PPE requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-3 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment preferred
- Valid Wastewater Certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow standard operating procedures
- Experience with PLC or SCADA systems
- Forklift or equipment operation certification
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance regulations
