Aluminum Technician 2nd Shift

Title: 2nd shift Technician in Aluminum
Immediate Supervisor Team Leader in Aluminum
FLSA Status Non-Exempt
Starting Wage 22.00 p/h plus Shift Differential and Attendance Premium

Job Summary This position is responsible for the production efficiency of their lines.

Essential Functions

• Performs quality checks and assists with sort activity
• Sub-assembles components using hand tools and air-guns.
• Operates production line equipment within all quality guidelines while maintaining quotas
• Sets parts in jig and use robotic assistance to affix components.
• Performs quality checks during and after assembly to verify quality of parts.
• Follows all directions set forth in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Moves product from one process area to another using hand carts and dollies.
• Trains other associates on learned processes.
• Resets alarms and makes minor CNC program adjustments.

Other Functions

• Performs periodic inventory counts.
• Sorts finished goods to ensure only quality parts are received by final customer.
• Interacts with co-workers and outside vendors
• Maintains clean working environment
• Continuously seeks to improve processes
• Promotes a safe working environment
• Communicates with other Associates and Shift Team Leaders regarding quality or production issues
• Supervises Associates and Temporaries in the Team Leader’s absence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education Position requires a high school diploma or equivalency

Experience Position requires minimal experience on assembly lines.

Skills Position requires understanding of basic quality tools, the ability to arrive to work consistently and on-time, the ability to read and understand directions, the ability to listen and follow instructions, and the ability to work with a team.

Working Conditions: Position requires the ability to bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive arm movements, lift up to 25 pounds, stand on concrete for extended periods of time, work mandatory overtime, and withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees.

Travel Position may require occasional travel.
