The Staffing & Operations Manager is a key leader within the GP Strategies Digital Performance Team (DPT), responsible for ensuring the right talent, processes, and operational discipline are in place to support a high‑visibility, client‑facing digital performance program.
Reporting to the Learning & Operations Director, this role owns workforce planning, staffing strategy, talent lifecycle management, productivity tracking, SLA performance, and internship program execution. You will partner closely with internal leaders, HR, recruiting, and client stakeholders to ensure operational stability, scalability, and an exceptional employee experience.

What You’ll Do
Workforce Planning & Talent Management
- Partner with Recruiting and HR to identify staffing needs, source candidates, conduct hiring, and maintain a “warm bench” of future talent.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a consistent, high-quality employee experience.
- Manage ongoing talent programs including performance management, compensation alignment, and career progression tracking.
- Partner with team leads to develop and monitor performance improvement plans.
- Establish, implement, and enforce operational processes aligned to defined performance targets and financial goals.
- Maintain detailed operational dashboards and reporting related to:
- Headcount and staffing levels
- Attrition trends
- Employee movement and referrals
- Exit feedback and insights
- Translate operational data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal leaders and client stakeholders to understand business priorities and risks.
- Deliver weekly people and staffing reports to internal leadership and client partners.
- Lead quarterly People Status reviews with senior stakeholders.
- Participate in governance meetings, business reviews, town halls, and leadership syncs—providing data, insight, and presentation content.
- Monitor service level metrics and workforce performance benchmarks.
- Maintain and present a monthly SLA performance tracker.
- Support governance forums with data-driven insights and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Own and execute the DPT summer internship program, including:
- Recruiting and hiring interns
- Coordinating mentors
- Building training calendars and development agendas
- Conducting regular check‑ins and mentorship oversight
- Serve as backup to the Operations Specialist to ensure employees have proper hardware, tools, and system access.
- Support tuition reimbursement requests in alignment with policy and approval workflows.
- Assist with handbook updates, culture initiatives, and cross‑team engagement activities.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in people operations, workforce management, or HR‑adjacent roles within a corporate environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive‑level reporting and facilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with strong business acumen—able to turn data into action.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Office tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
- Experience supporting client‑facing or service‑based teams.
- Familiarity with workforce analytics, SLA management, or governance models.
- Experience with Power BI or Access.
- Must be located in the Metro Detroit area.
- Travel required to GP Strategies offices, client locations, and partner sites as needed.
