We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are accurately priced and that we maintain profitability throughout the construction process. The Construction Estimator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to prepare detailed estimates and manage contracts effectively.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects using software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, contracts, and changes in project scope.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in estimating practices.
- Utilize construction site experience to assess project requirements and potential challenges effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of construction management principles, including contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control measures.
