- Nick Vollmar is the owner of everything DevOps and infrastructure.
- Peter Borges, Founding Product Designer, works on design implementation and design systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design and build a self-service data import agent that allows non-technical government staff to map, validate, and upload their own data, reducing friction and speeding up time-to-value.
- Lead high-impact customer data migrations, ensuring smooth, accurate transitions from legacy systems into GovWell’s modern platform.
- Build scalable data onboarding workflows, using tools like Airflow and SQL to automate transformation, validation, and loading of customer data.
- Run discovery sessions with customers to understand their data models, map schemas, and uncover edge cases that impact migration success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Deployment Strategists, Product, and Engineering—to solve complex data challenges and improve customer onboarding velocity.
- Develop internal tools and templates to accelerate and standardize data migration processes as GovWell scales.
- Contribute to post-migration analytics by ensuring clean, structured data sets are available for downstream reporting and decision-making.
- Support the growth of the data function by mentoring future analysts and helping shape best practices across the team.
Technical Expertise
- 3 years working in data science, analytics, or data engineering—ideally in a SaaS or B2B environment.
- Proficient in SQL and Python; comfortable working with large, messy datasets.
- Experience designing or executing complex ETL/ELT processes, ideally with tools like Airflow.
- Strong grasp of data validation, transformation, and quality assurance best practices.
- Able to turn ambiguous data challenges into clear, repeatable workflows.
- Comfortable interfacing directly with customers to understand their data and guide them through migration.
- Excellent communicator—able to translate technical findings into plain language and partner effectively across functions.
- Detail-oriented and quality-driven: you know that when it comes to data, precision matters.
- Motivated by outcomes, not just models—you're energized by the role data plays in solving real problems.
