Painting Estimator

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Painting Estimator with Federal Project Experience- to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial painting projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, client expectations, and budget constraints. Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately interpret project scope and material requirements for painting estimates.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools to develop detailed cost proposals.
• Conduct material cost estimating by analyzing blueprints and project documents to determine quantities and pricing for paints, primers, coatings, and related supplies.
• Manage project budgets by estimating labor costs, equipment needs, and subcontractor expenses while maintaining cost control throughout the bidding process.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams through effective negotiation to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include detailed spreadsheets, cost breakdowns, and scope of work summaries.
• Review construction contracts and manage project documentation to ensure estimates align with contractual obligations and project timelines.
• Assist in reviewing construction management software data to track project progress, costs, and change orders during project execution.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately to estimate material requirements from blueprints efficiently.
• Support project management efforts by providing estimation insights that influence scheduling, resource allocation, and overall project planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry.
• Strong proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and other construction management tools.
• Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, construction drawing review, and interpreting technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and estimating construction project budgets.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective client communication abilities.
• Familiarity with construction site experience and understanding of construction management processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for detailed estimation work.
• Knowledge of contracts management and project management principles relevant to the construction industry.
• Construction industry experience with a focus on estimation for commercial projects is highly preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
