Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Evening Custodian role located at our Elementary School in Effingham, NH. The Evening Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned school buildings and facilities. Daily tasks include cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas, as well as performing minor maintenance and ensuring that the premises are safe and operational. The role may also include setting up and breaking down for school events or activities and reporting any necessary repairs or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Experience with general cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks and the ability to perform minor repairs
- Familiarity with the safe use and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects as needed
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Able to work in all weather conditions
