This position is responsible for complete sanitation activities to ensure that a master cleaning list of miscellaneous plant functions is completed according to a schedule set by the Sanitation Department. A checklist of these functions is available for reference on a weekly basis.

What You’ll Do
This position is responsible for complete sanitation activities to ensure that a master cleaning list of miscellaneous plant functions is completed according to a schedule set by the Sanitation Department. A checklist of these functions is available for reference on a weekly basis.
- Effectively clean manufacturing equipment based on MSS utilizing SSOPs:
- Fryer and surrounding area
- MW room
- Equilibrium and Exchange rooms
- Pack area including proportioners
- Cutters
- Freezers inside and out
- Batter and breader equipment
- Utensils
- Totes and waste receptacles
- Drains
- Outside area
- Clean Overheads/Water Hoses/Ladders/Fire Extinguishers/Other Miscellaneous
- Tanker, refuse and waste dock
- Able to operate scissor lifts and forklifts after certification
- Work at heights
- Waste is collected and disposed of properly
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Complete chemical handling and safety training.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow Gorton’s SSOP’s.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making.
- Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures as it applies to the equipment you are cleaning
- Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments.
- Understanding standards and measurements.
- Math and computer skills.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period) – if required by your role
- Lift up to 60 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours
- Abide by company GMP and PPE policies
