Maintenance Planner

GORILLA GLUE COMPANY
Sharonville, OH Full Time
POSTED ON 6/15/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/14/2026

Summary Description:

At The Gorilla Glue Company, we're passionate about building strong brands with our fantastic team of employees. We believe in promoting a culture of excellence that empowers, engages, and connects people.

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for both maintenance planning (defining scope, parts, tools, labor, and safety requirements) and maintenance scheduling (prioritizing and coordinating when and by whom work is executed) to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

The role owns job plan quality, preventive/predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) cadence, and short/longrange schedules through the CMMS (MVP One), in close partnership with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and contracted vendors. This combined approach reflects industry best practice in smaller or evolving operations where the functions are integrated for efficiency. This role combines both maintenance planning (job scoping, resource definition) and scheduling (prioritization and coordination of work execution) to ensure efficient and safe maintenance operations.

What's in it for you?

Thanks to our commitment to creating a supportive and engaged workplace culture, Gorilla Glue has been recognized as a top place to work for 16 years in a row. We offer competitive compensation packages, comprehensive healthcare benefits, and other perks and incentives to ensure our employees feel valued and supported.

Joining the Gorilla Glue family means being part of a team passionate about building strong brands and promoting a culture of excellence. As an employee, you'll be able to help create high-quality products and build brands that people love. Join us in an inspiring workplace where you can belong, grow, and make a difference!

What will your day look like?

  • Develop complete job plans for corrective and preventive work, including labor craft/skill requirements, parts and materials, special tools/equipment, safety procedures, permits (LOTO, CSE, Hot Work), time and cost estimates, and quality/startup checklists
  • Review and clarify work requests; define scope and success criteria; ensure accurate BOMs and task sequences are documented in the CMMS
  • Set and maintain appropriate Min/Max levels; ensure parts are reserved and kitted ahead of scheduled work, and that issues/returns post correctly to work orders
  • Build and publish weekly and daily maintenance schedules, aligning with production priorities and resource availability to maximize technician “wrench time” and asset uptime. Adjust for emergent work while maintaining schedule discipline
  • Facilitate scheduling meetings with Maintenance, Operations, and Supply Chain; rebalance based on parts/labor constraints and operational risk
  • Own and continuously improve PM and PdM programs (task content, frequencies, and routes) based on equipment history and performance data to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Generate, optimize, and track PM work orders; ensure completion, documentation quality, and feedback loops into future plans
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, hierarchies, and histories; ensure all parts are correctly linked to assets and work orders
  • Drive standard work for planning/scheduling processes within the CMMS and promote bestpractice usage across the team
  • Embed safety in every job plan (hazard review, PPE, permits) and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Lead small maintenance projects (scope, schedule, cost), manage vendors/contractors, and ensure safe, ontime, inbudget delivery with complete turnover documentation
  • Monitor and report key maintenance metrics (e.g., schedule compliance, backlog health, PM completion rate, rework, wrench time). Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to planning quality, schedule adherence, and asset reliability
  • Monitor maintenance performance metrics (e.g., schedule compliance, backlog health, equipment history) and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve maintenance effectiveness
  • Other duties as assigned by management

What will you bring to the table?

  • 2 years of maintenance planning or 10 years of maintenance experience
  • formal training/certifications in maintenance planning/scheduling, reliability, or CMMS
