Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Police Patrol Officers to serve and protect our community. Duties
- Patrol designated areas to deter and detect criminal activity, ensuring community safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents requiring law enforcement intervention
- Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed reports
- Enforce laws related to immigration, animal control, loss prevention, and other statutes as required
- Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activities and ensure public order
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary to assist injured individuals until medical personnel arrive
- Manage conflict situations through effective conflict management skills while maintaining a calm demeanor
- Write clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations for legal proceedings
- Engage with the community through outreach programs to foster trust and cooperation
- Handle animals when necessary, including animal care and control responsibilities
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, security, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, criminal investigation techniques, and report writing is advantageous
- Skills in leadership, conflict management, surveillance, animal handling, immigration law, and loss prevention are highly valued
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; ongoing training will be provided as needed
- Demonstrated ability to drive safely under various conditions and maintain composure during stressful situations

Must posses a Georgia POST police officer certification, valid drivers license, high school diploma or GED. A criminal background check, drug screen, and drivers license history check will be performed. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A GEORGIA POST CERTIFICATION AS A POLICE OFFICER YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Benefits include health insurance for the employee, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, and retirement. Pay is $19.07 hourly after probation the pay is increased to $21.92 hourly.
