At Gopher Glen Apple Farm, you'll work in the heart of See Canyon, just minutes from Avila Beach, surrounded by rolling hills, fresh mountain air, and 112 rare and flavorful varieties of apples. Our family farm has become a beloved destination where locals and visitors come to experience the changing seasons, taste incredible fruit, and make lasting memories.
Every day is a little different—from sampling apples with customers and learning about unique produce to helping families discover their new favorite variety. If you enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and making people's day a little brighter, we'd love to meet you.
No experience necessary—we're happy to train the right person.
Schedule
- Part-time seasonal position
- 4–8 hour shifts
- Shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM
- Season: August - December
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Due to our busiest season, we have established blackout dates around major holidays.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers with a friendly smile
- Operate the register and process purchases accurately
- Learn about our apples and seasonal produce so you can confidently answer questions
- Offer fruit samples and share recommendations
- Keep displays stocked, organized, and beautiful
- Sort and rotate fresh produce throughout the day
- Package fruits and vegetables
- Water plants and maintain outdoor displays
- Help keep the facilities clean and inviting through daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning tasks
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves working with people and creating memorable customer experiences
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Has a positive attitude and takes initiative
- Is dependable with excellent attendance
- Can lift up to approximately 50 pounds repeatedly
- Is comfortable standing and walking for most of the shift
- Has reliable transportation
- Doesn't mind tasting a lot of apples in the name of "quality control."
