What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Processor position at Gooi Mortgage, Inc.?
This position will perform processing for residential mortgage loans. To be considered, you must have 3 years of recent processing and Encompass experience. This position is available onsite at our downtown Des Moines, Iowa corporate office or fully remote in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Generate initial disclosures and/or re-disclosures
- Prepares and processes loan received within the established service level agreements
- Orders third party services including, but no limited to, appraisal, flood certificate, verifications of income and employment and credit updates
- Verifies accuracy and completeness of all documentation received, including, but not limited to, asset and credit documents, income, appraisals, title, flood certificates, entity specific documents, lease agreements, operating agreements etc.
- Verifies completeness and accuracy of all mortgage loan disclosures, as well as meeting guidelines and requirements
- Calculates income and analyzes documentation for accuracy
- Prepares and submits loans for initial approval to Underwriting
- Collects, submits and clears any underwriting conditions
- Prioritizes and manages a pipeline of loans to adhere to specified turn-times, closing dates and follow-up requirements
- Communicates effectively with customer, loan officers, brokers and account executives
- Independently resolves any conflicts that may arise, when needed
- Keep up to date with all guideline and system changes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience of recent mortgage loan processing plus disclosing/redisclosing
- 3 years Encompass experience
- Non-QM experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience processing Iowa files preferred
- Knowledge of AUS/GUS Findings Report
- Knowledge of submission and interpretation of Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector reports
- Familiarity with Encompass 360 and Mortgagebot LOS loan origination systems
- Experience building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, customers, vendors and coworkers
- Time management and organizational skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to make independent judgement calls based on regulatory knowledge
- Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend issues/needs, and recommend solutions
- Ability to work independently and is a self-starter
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle information professionally and confidentially
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Adobe PDF and Encompass 360 loan origination system
- Must pass background screening
