We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant who understands the restaurant business—from labor and food cost to multi‑unit reporting and close cycles—and is excited to help scale systems and processes as the company grows.
Position Overview
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role supporting the Controller and leadership team across corporate and restaurant‑level accounting. The ideal candidate has experience in restaurant or hospitality accounting, thrives in a deadline‑driven environment, and enjoys improving processes that support operations.
You will own key accounting functions, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and partner with operations to turn financial data into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple restaurant locations
- Prepare and submit the full financial reporting package with supporting schedules to the Controller
- Maintain accurate general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
Restaurant‑Focused Accounting
- Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and tax reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and weekly operational reports (labor, sales, prime costs)
- Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet and P&L support schedules
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax and regulatory requirements
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies in existing restaurant accounting workflows
- Help implement automation and system improvements in collaboration with the Controller and management team
- Support scalable accounting practices as new locations and concepts are added
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations and Management to ensure accurate data flow
- Communicate financial results clearly to non‑accounting stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of full financial statements
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting, payroll, and POS‑integrated systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple entities or locations simultaneously
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Restaurant or Hospitality Accounting Experience Strongly Preferred, not required.
