Senior Hardware Design Engineer Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate electronic systems for high-volume consumer products
- Lead schematic capture and PCB layout using OrCAD and Allegro
- Develop and integrate hardware architectures across multi-component systems
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity
- Conduct system-level testing, validation, and debugging in a lab environment
- Interface directly with clients to gather requirements, lead design reviews, and provide technical direction
- Drive root cause analysis and contribute to continuous design improvements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 7 years of experience in electrical or hardware design engineering
- Proven success designing high-volume consumer electronic products
- Proficiency with OrCAD Capture and Allegro PCB Editor
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
- Hands-on experience with validation, testing, and full product lifecycle development
- Annual salary range of $150K–$180K, based on experience
- Hybrid schedule in SF Bay Area to start
