You will also mentor team members and help establish best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical preconstruction efforts across multiple projects and pursuits from concept through turnover
- Oversee scope development, design coordination, budgeting, and scheduling
- Collaborate with Estimating, Operations, and senior leadership on project strategy and execution
- Develop conceptual estimates and manage electrical and low-voltage/data system planning
- Guide procurement strategies and long-lead equipment planning
- Identify risks and drive value engineering and constructability reviews
- Support major project pursuits, including DoD/NAVFAC opportunities
- Mentor and develop preconstruction team members while driving process improvements
- Ensure compliance with DoD standards, project requirements, and company best practices
- 10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry
- 5 years in electrical preconstruction, estimating, or project management
- Proven experience with DoD / NAVFAC projects (vertical construction required)
- Strong background in design-build delivery
- Experience developing conceptual estimates and managing electrical scopes
- Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, McCormick, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience on large ($35M), complex (DoD) government construction projects
- Familiarity with electrical and telecommunications/data systems design
- Salary up to: $125k annually (based on experience)
