- Develop, program, and optimize robotic welding applications using FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, or similar robotic platforms
- Create and modify robot programs, weld schedules, and motion paths to maximize weld quality, cycle time, and process consistency
- Lead commissioning and startup activities for new robotic welding cells and automation equipment
- Develop and optimize automated welding processes including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Pulsed MIG, and other advanced welding applications
- Troubleshoot robotic welding systems, identify root causes of process issues, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with manufacturing, controls, quality, and mechanical engineering teams to integrate robotic welding cells into production
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on weld quality, productivity, equipment uptime, and process optimization
- Evaluate and implement emerging automation technologies including vision systems, seam tracking, sensors, and adaptive welding controls
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3 years of experience with robotic welding and welding automation
- Experience programming industrial robotic systems such as FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, or KUKA
- Strong knowledge of MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Pulsed MIG, or other automated welding processes
- Experience commissioning, optimizing, or supporting robotic welding cells in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems, industrial controls, sensors, and automation integration
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, welding symbols, and technical specifications
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement experience
- Must be eligible to work on ITAR-regulated programs (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or U.S. Person)
