Position Overview

You will work closely with engineering and product teams, taking ownership of quality across the entire development lifecycle—not just testing at the end.
What You’ll Do
- Own the QA function and help define testing strategy, standards, and best practices
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for React applications
- Partner directly with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and prevent defects early
- Identify, document, and prioritize bugs with a strong focus on user impact
- Test new features rapidly in an iterative release environment
- Perform regression, functional, and exploratory testing
- Validate API integrations and workflows critical to music-related functionality (e.g., content uploads, metadata handling, distribution pipelines)
- Contribute to or build lightweight automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Support CI/CD processes by integrating testing into deployment pipelines
- Advocate for quality and user experience in all product decisions
- 3 years of QA or software testing experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
- Experience testing React applications (UI, component behavior, and workflows)
- Familiarity with modern testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.)
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar
- Strong understanding of Agile or lean development practices
- Ability to operate with limited structure and take initiative
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to changing priorities
- Strong communication skills in a remote, distributed team
- Experience in music tech, media, or entertainment platforms
- Basic JavaScript/TypeScript skills for test automation
- Experience setting up QA processes in an early-stage company
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Exposure to performance or load testing
