We are seeking an experienced project manager to oversee public works projects in the Sacramento area. If you have experience managing paving, grading, and/or Caltrans projects, we'd love to speak with you.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and execution of public works projects ranging from $5M to $100M Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and resource allocationsCoordinate and supervise field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveriesEnsure compliance with contract documents, local/state/federal regulations, and safety protocolsServe as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, inspectors, and public agenciesPrepare and review submittals, RFIs, change orders, progress billings, and project documentationConduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, productivity, and safetyLead internal project meetings and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholdersDrive project closeout activities, including punch lists, documentation, and owner turnoverIdentify and mitigate potential risks, delays, and claims proactivelyQualifications7 years of experience in project management for heavy civil construction or public worksProven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or underground utility projectsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)Strong understanding of Caltrans/municipal specifications, labor compliance, and permitting processesProficient with construction management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project, or similarExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsOSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtainPMP or CCM certification is a plusBenefitsAnnual Salary of $100,000-$180,000Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with 3% company matchProfit Sharing of 7%Annual Bonus of 10%Paid time off, holidays, and continuing education opportunities
