Laboratory Analyst – Industrial & Specialty Gases (Friendswood, TX)

Full-Time | Lab Analysis & Quality | Industrial / Petroleum / Specialty Gases

A privately owned distributor of industrial, specialty, and medical gases, welding equipment, and safety supplies is seeking a Laboratory Analyst for its technical gas laboratory. This role supports high-precision analysis of petroleum, hydrocarbon, and specialty gas mixtures in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze petroleum, hydrocarbon, and specialty gas mixtures using gas chromatography and other analytical instruments
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Develop and refine analytical methods and improve existing techniques
• Document, interpret, and report analytical data with a high degree of accuracy
• Support process troubleshooting and quality investigations as needed
• Follow all lab safety procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements
  
  

What You Need

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science (required)
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Comfort working with analytical instruments and learning new methods
• Ability to follow procedures, troubleshoot basic issues, and document results clearly
• Strong communication and organizational skills
