General Contractor Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid General Contractor license in Massachusetts (RI license is a plus and incentivized)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a general contractor or related supervisory construction role
• Proven ability to manage projects independently from planning through execution
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and overseeing multiple active sites
• Familiarity with Xactimate and DocuSketch (nice-to-have)
  
  

General Contractor Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan and execute construction projects with minimal oversight, delivering on time and within budget
• Meet with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project requirements are met
• Regularly walk and assess active construction sites to monitor quality and progress
• Collaborate with the departmental leadership to align on goals and project delivery
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting using relevant software
