The Executive Director provides leadership for multiple long-term care campuses, overseeing services including:
- Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)
- State-only skilled nursing home beds
- Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRF)
- Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCAC)
- Adult Family Homes (AFH)
- Independent and assisted living residences The role ensures high-quality, person-centered care and regulatory excellence across all programs.
- Lead and oversee all clinical and residential operations across multiple facilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives and operational plans
- Manage multi-facility operating and capital budgets, staffing, and resource allocation
- Ensure regulatory compliance and serve as primary liaison with agencies
- Lead risk management initiatives, including audits, investigations, and emergency preparedness
- Negotiate and interpret contracts with legal counsel
- Build and maintain relationships with residents, families, county departments, health systems, advocacy organizations, and other stakeholders
- Represent the county in community, regional, and state initiatives
- Lead recruitment, retention, and workforce development initiatives
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in services and staff management
- Oversee capital projects, expansions, and new facility openings
- Participate in county-wide initiatives and health system integration projects
- Provide leadership during crises to ensure continuity of operations
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local long-term care regulations and licensing
- Financial management and budget oversight skills
- Multi-facility healthcare leadership experience
- Strategic planning and execution capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Crisis management and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records, budgeting software, and related technologies
- Commitment to inclusive work environments
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public administration, business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years senior leadership experience in long-term care or healthcare management, including multi-site operations
- Licensed Nursing Home Administrator or eligibility to obtain license within six months of hire
- Eligibility or certification in CBRF administration is a plus
- Experience in public sector or county government preferred
- Ability to travel between facilities and respond to after-hours/emergency situations
- Successful background check per state caregiver requirements
