Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to prepare accurate, detailed estimates for large and complex construction projects. This role supports a Heavy Civil division and requires strong knowledge of construction methods, costs, scheduling, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and construction estimates.
• Perform and oversee quantity take-offs.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and subcontractor/vendor quotes.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and potential discrepancies.
• Conduct site investigations and support bid preparation.
• Coordinate estimating workloads and deadlines.
• Evaluate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.
• Work with project managers and field teams on budgets and change orders.
• Support negotiations with owners, architects, engineers, and agencies.
• Assist with finalizing competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5 years of construction experience; estimating experience strongly preferred.
• Heavy Civil construction experience preferred.
• Strong estimating, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
