CNC Milling Machinist Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in machining or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist, with a strong understanding of milling operations
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience with G-code programming and CNC machine setup
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
  
  

CNC Milling Machinist Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for accurate machining
• Program CNC machines using G-code and related software
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure specifications are met
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as needed
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
