Buyer Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of buying experience, including roles as Associate Buyer and Buyer (not Assistant Buyer).
• Proven track record of driving sales results and executing successful buying strategies.
• Strong analytical, financial, strategic, and planning skills.
• Exceptional negotiating skills with expertise in vendor negotiations and relationship management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Buyer Preferred Background & Skills

• Previous experience with "Big Box" is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a comfort level in taking measurable risks.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Buyer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate high-quality merchandise to offer a desirable and rapidly changing mix for customers.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and fashion to make strategic decisions that drive sales and improve gross margin.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective execution of buying strategies.
• Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships to secure favorable terms.
• Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing market conditions to maximize business performance.
