A growing private equity firm is seeking a Business Development Analyst to help identify and develop acquisition opportunities for one of its portfolio companies.
This is a business development and deal-sourcing role—not a traditional finance position. You’ll research companies, connect with business owners and intermediaries, build relationships, and identify businesses that may be acquisition opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Research and identify potential acquisition targets
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and follow-up
- Build relationships with business owners, founders, brokers, and investment bankers
- Qualify potential acquisition opportunities
- Maintain and manage your pipeline in the CRM
- Document conversations and provide qualified opportunities to the M&A team
- Use data and AI-powered tools to improve sourcing efforts
What They're Looking For
- 1 years of experience in sales, business development, sourcing, or client development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with business owners and executives
- Competitive, persistent, and results-driven
- Organized and comfortable working with CRM systems and data
- Bachelor’s degree; strong academic performance preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Interest in private equity, M&A, and business development
Private equity experience is not required. High-performing sales and business development professionals are encouraged to apply.
