Automation Mechanical Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings)
• Experience creating or using SolidWorks macros to automate design tasks
• Strong foundation in mechanical design, motion systems, and industrial automation
• Ability to adhere to engineering standards, documentation practices, and safety requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork across departments
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• U.S. citizenship required
  
  

Automation Mechanical Engineer Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience with automated machinery, robotics, or motion control systems
• Familiarity with PLCs, servos, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Understanding of machining, fabrication, and mechanical assembly processes
• Exposure to project management or cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to write or maintain SolidWorks macros or other automation scripts
