Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert guidance on gardening, landscaping, and lawn care products.
- Assist customers with plant selection, planting tips, and landscape maintenance advice to ensure their outdoor projects succeed.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the garden center through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Support floral design efforts by creating attractive floral arrangements or displays as needed.
- Manage stock levels by receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring products are properly labeled and displayed.
- Offer multilingual assistance to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about horticulture techniques, e-commerce orders, or product availability.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for gardening and outdoor living is essential.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, horticulture principles, or floral design is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math enhances efficiency in daily operations.
- Strong communication skills in English are required; multilingual abilities are a valuable asset to connect with a diverse clientele.
- Organizational skills are important for restocking product, managing inventory, and merchandising displays effectively.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
