E-Commerce Assistant Manager

Goodwill of Western and Northern CT is looking for a motivated, ambitious, analytical, and strong team player to help manage our successful and growing E-Commerce department.  The Assistant Manager supervises the E-Collectibles staff to ensure that all production and sales goals are met.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees day-to-day operations of E-Commerce. Gives work direction to E-Commerce team members. 
• Communicates team and individual goals to meet or exceed daily production goals. Ensures team is aware of goals and accomplishments. 
• Assists E-Commerce Manager in answering customer inquiries and educates team members on areas to improve on.
• Monitors supply orders to achieve E-commerce sales goals.
• Authenticates items that require certificates and assists on training employees to operate programs. 
• Identifies above average collectibles to create listings designed to generate maximum revenue. 
• Opens and/or closes E-Commerce area. 
• Communicates with the stores to ensure product quality and quantity. 
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Troubleshoots problem orders and resolves customer complaints in a timely fashion for Shopgoodwill website.
• Ensures inventory shelves are currently on website and purges “old” recycled items.
• Pulls and prepares items for shipment. 
• Follows all agency policies and procedures.
• Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork. Assists and shares knowledge and information with other employees as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as required. 

Position Requirements:

• Highly knowledgeable about jewelry, gems, and precious metals.
• Past experience in E-Commerce is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of the internet, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, both verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

• Works in warehouse area.
• Considerable walking, standing, reaching, lifting, carrying, talking, hearing, seeing, bending, pushing and pulling.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend and reach.
• Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.
