Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Recruit, train, and supervise employees, including delivering performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Schedule staff, maintain open communication, and ensure the team has the tools and training they need to reach the store’s target goals.
• Ensure customer service excellence and a welcoming shopping environment. Effectively resolve customer complaints.
• Oversee operations and inventory management, store appearance, and merchandise pricing.
• Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and addressing hazards.
• Optimize sales revenue through effective product rotation, display strategies, and constant improvement.
• Comply with company policies in controlling expenses, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to cash-handling and loss-prevention policies.
Job Requirements
• 21 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States (must provide required documentation).
• Able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Pass a criminal background check (some records are acceptable).
• Pass a drug screening for all federally controlled substances, including cannabis (THC).
• Possess reliable personal transportation.
• Skills in math to accurately count cash.
Experience
• Minimum five years of experience in retail management or equivalent.
• Preference for experience with profit and loss, sales, or cost management accountability.
Education
• High school diploma or GED.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
• Alaska driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification or ability to become certified within 30 days.
Physical Demands of Work
• Occasionally lift 10-35 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Speak and hear.
• See things close and in color, adjust focus, with peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Use hands to feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Use telephone, cash register, handheld pricing/tagging machine, paper, pens, and other office and retail equipment.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the positions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Work Environment
• Indoor and outdoor at warehouse, store sales floor, office, production area, and grounds.
• Potential exposure to dust or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
• Fluctuating temperatures based on work location.
• Noise level is usually loud.
• Hectic and fast-paced, with frequently short deadlines.
• Regular instances of critical and unusual situations.
Work Hours
In addition to weekdays, must have availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years’ work experience in a managerial role in a retail environment or equivalent. Prefer profit and loss, sales or cost management accountability experience.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Oregon Driver’s License and insurable driving record. Must maintain a current CPR/First Aid card (training provided by Goodwill).

WORK HOURS
Must have availability during hours store is open, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
