The Awesome Things You’ll Do
DRIVE FOR RESULTS
- Analyze available sales reports and data to assess the needs of the business and create business strategies based that analysis.
- Set KPI goals (ATV, UPT and conversion) and hold team accountable for achieving.
- Continuously coach and motivate team to meet assigned goals and expectations.
- Ensure development of associates’ sales techniques and product knowledge to maximize sales growth.
- Demonstrate sales leadership for the team by playing an active role on the selling floor.
- Collaborate with Regional/District Manager and Marketing to identify marketing opportunities to drive sales.
- Drive Goodwill brand loyalty through coaching sales team to share knowledge of Goodwill Rewards program and Mission, consistently educating customers of the benefits of participation.
- Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service.
- Cultivate customer relationships by knowing and engaging repeat clientele.
- Resolve all customer complaints and issues quickly, efficiently and with respect resulting in an overall positive experience.
- Manage store P&L by managing controllable expenses and labor cost ensuring store profitability.
- Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed including bank deposits, safe funds and petty cash.
- Effective scheduling to maintain adequate floor coverage and consistent processing of donations while maintaining payroll budgets.
- Protect store assets and inventory. Bring any Loss Prevention concerns to the Regional/District Manager’s attention.
- Responsible for the accuracy of product assessment, boutique product selection and pricing where applicable.
- Ensure stockroom is maximizing production of donations and flow of product to the sales floor is quick and efficient.
- Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies.
- Partner with the warehouse and Market Manager to ensure appropriate assortment and inventory levels for the store.
- Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, always organized and reflects the correct visual image.
- Ensure presentation of all windows, displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction.
- Recruit, train, and develop teams ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified candidates.
- Continually assess employee level of proficiency in their role and provide training in a timely manner to ensure they have the tools required to meet expectations.
- Continually evaluate the performance of each member of the team and provide consistent feedback to ensure improvement, develop bench strength and plan for succession.
- Resolve all employee relation issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with People & Culture when needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail store management position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite and ability to adapt to internal applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to push/pull up to 50lbs.
- Must have open availability and able to work holidays. Your schedule will be based on business needs.
- Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results.
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues.
- Ability to adapt to and engage with internal and external customers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales leadership team and colleagues.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to receive feedback and act when appropriate.
- Accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Proposed starting salary of $62,000 annually
