Rate of Pay: $18.00 Per hour
Job Summary:
Facility Maintenance Technician performs repairs and routine maintenance of the corporate warehouse and offices. Assists with the handling of HAZMAT, and the overall cleanliness of the building.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, HVAC, painting, doors, windows, light fixtures, and flooring.
• Logs in and keeps track of time utilized to close out work orders for all maintenance jobs.
• Handles, sorts, and stores hazardous material with assistance from Facilities Manager and HAZMAT Coordinator
• Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes restrooms, offices and breakrooms using established practices and procedures.
• Responsible for a neat, clean, and organized facility.
• Conducts self in professional manner when interacting with clients, coworkers, and management.
• Responds to maintenance problems for all Goodwill mechanical equipment.
• Communicates in a professional manner when interacting with customers, vendors, etc.
• Operates fixed and portable hand tools used in equipment maintenance.
• Ensures all work is completed with the highest of quality.
• Attends scheduled meetings and training sessions. Adheres to all safety procedures and standards.
• Maintaining inventory of equipment, tools and supplies and ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Properly follows OSHA specifications regarding lockout/tagout procedures.
• Utilizes maintenance software and follows all steps in creating, processing, and closing all work orders.
• Completes carpentry and painting/finishing work for new installations.
• Flexibility to work on call or emergency situations outside of regular business hours.
• Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak/read/write proficient English.
• Knowledge of construction and building maintenance.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Available to work during any retail and warehouse operating hours, also including early morning, evening, and weekends.
• Ability to use a smart phone.

Required Experience:
• Experience in building maintenance or related experience preferred.
