Mission Contribution:
Supports the Program Manager in the provision of services that strengthen families.
Function:
To perform clerical and other duties to assist with Military Respite program delivery.
Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation).
- Provides world-class customer service including effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Obtains and organizes forms, documents and records for participant/family/provider files.
- Accurately completes agency data entry for services within the designated timeframes.
- Assists with other statistical and programmatic reports as scheduled and required according to agency guidelines in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develops, types, and distributes various program correspondence as assigned by the program staff.
- Assists in the organization and record keeping of receipts and documents for provider reimbursements.
- Assists in the acquisition, maintenance and distribution of records and other information for children, families, and providers enrolled in services.
- Assists in the collection and review of provider timesheets to ensure information is complete and accurate prior to submission for payment.
- Attends scheduled meetings and in-service trainings as assigned.
- Greets visitors, answers the telephone, provides basic information concerning the agency and programs, takes messages, and otherwise assists those seeking services and information.
- Provides exceptional customer service by consistently demonstrating enthusiastic, positive and effective greeting and assistance to callers, visitors and coworkers.
- Ensures confidentiality of participant records and private information, keeping in compliance with organization’s guidelines, policies and CARF regulations.
- Maintains accountability of inventory of supplies, materials and equipment essential to the operation of the program and follows proper procedures for new acquisitions and purchases.
- Regular attendance, as outlined in Goodwill Gulf Coast’s policy, is required.
- Acts as a positive role model for employees and participants in all aspects of professional performance.
- Observes all safety procedures and personnel policies and ensures compliance by employees and students.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years, liability automobile insurance and be insurable through the agency’s insurance carrier.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Some education beyond high school preferred.
- Must be proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must have above average writing and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to use hands, fingers and wrists, repetitively while using computer keyboard.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to stand, bend, sit on the floor, stoop, walk, talk, hear, use hands to grip, and reach with arms, and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
