Job Summary
The NCWorks Business Services Coordinator develops new, and encourages growth of, existing business relationships to promote economic mobility for multiple programs in NCWorks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Documents contacts with businesses and organizations and ensures regular follow-up.
- Makes business to business contacts by telephone, email and in group networking settings to form partnerships which result in work sites.
- Develops and executes contracts for incumbent worker, on-the-job training, and work-based learning programs.
- Participates in networking events/ business groups to enhance connections and increase potential placement sites.
- Regularly participates in Business Advisory Councils and assists with recruitment of new members.
- Works in Microsoft Word/ other programs as needed to create instruction materials, graduation materials, presentation information, event flyers and invitations, etc.
High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ of successful business to business sales experience in a high-volume sales, required.
- Experience in the staffing industry or job development experience in a Human Service agency, strongly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook and internet skills required.
- Strong professional written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be able to travel up to 10%
