Under the direct supervision of the Director of Training Development, the Construction Instructor is responsible for providing construction training classes throughout the year and helping participants find employment in the construction field. The instructor will also manage any Assistants, Senior Employment Workers, Interns, or Volunteers who help proctor construction classes.
- Demonstrated experience in construction and ability to teach others
- Self-directed and motivated
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience teaching a diverse population of adults a plus
- Effective team player
- Comfortable using computer and mobile computing technology like Wi-Fi, laptops, smart phones
- Demonstrated organizational abilities, managing, program materials, processes, and procedures
- Effective skills such as coaching, mentoring, supervising, and motivating
- Previous experience developing relationships with prospective employers related to construction
