The Coordinator, President's Office implements strategies to achieve the goals for the organization and the President’s Office.  Implements, revises, and sustains policies, procedures and programs. 

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Implements strategies to achieve the goals for the organization and the President’s Office.  Implements, revises, and sustains policies, procedures and programs. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3 – 12 months. This role is integral to supporting the President’s Office and Goodwill Board of Directors, ensuring seamless communication, efficient meeting management, research, and information management and distribution.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

President’s Office Initiatives

1. Conduct external and internal research to support the President’s Office, strategic planning, innovative ideas, and operations. Develop and maintain strategy memos on upcoming trends, opportunities, threats, legislation, competitors, and shifts in popular opinion.

2. Lead President’s Office initiatives that align with strategic priorities and operational goals. Facilitate group discussions to analyze existing workflows, identify root causes, generate solutions, and build consensus on action plans. Determine whether solutions can be implemented immediately or require escalation to formal project teams.

3. Champion a mindset of experimentation, learning, and iterative improvement across the enterprise. 

4. Conduct research on Goodwill Industries International (GII) and the broader Goodwill network, collaborating throughout the network to exchange and gather relevant information. 

5. Represent Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago with Goodwill connections across the network. Track and respond to all Goodwill network requests for information about our Goodwill. As needed, facilitate events, conduct tours, and host visitors from outside organizations. 

Board Relations 

6. Engage with board-related activities, including but not limited to information management and board communication. Enhance board member experience through process improvements and technology upgrades.

7. In partnership with the President’s Office and Strategic Planning team, create and distribute Goodwill annual strategic plan to the Board of Directors and organization.

Information Management

8. Manage execution of executive team meetings, business insights meetings, and business reviews. Set meetings, partner with M1-M4 leaders to develop meeting materials and manage information distribution for top levels of leadership.

9. Administer the Goodwill corporate archive. Ensure that all critical documents are identified and stored in a confidential, easy-to-navigate structure and that all documents have intuitive titles that include publication dates. Fill documentation gaps and update information management structure as needed. Fulfill corporate archive documentation requests.

Additional Responsibilities

10. Project and Change Management: Effectively plans and manages own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments. May serve as a team member or subject matter expert on formal projects or within the department. Effectively engages in change affecting her/him, communicating appropriately with supervisor. Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change. 

11. Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic review of work by manager or senior coworker. Solves problems of moderate to advanced complexity; able to identify root cause, interpret data and resolve issues. 

12. Technical Skill: Understands and applies professional principles and skills within area of specialization to modify processes to resolve situations.

13. Community Engagement: Champions Goodwill’s community engagement initiatives and serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community. 

14. Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. 

2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, etc.) and ability to learn new systems quickly. 

3. Must demonstrate sound judgement, discretion, and maintain strict confidentiality. 

4. Strong facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.

5. Ability to synthesize data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

6. Experience working in cross-functional environments and managing change. 

7. Information management experience and research skills preferred.

8. Limited travel required on an ad hoc basis within Goodwill’s territory (Illinois and Wisconsin).

6. Ensures Accountability: Takes responsibility and ownership for successes and failures in own work.  Monitors progress of performance and changes approach accordingly, following through on commitments. 

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:

Job requires the following: remain stationary for sustained periods of time; ability to move about to  accomplish tasks; must be able to operate a computer or similar technology, which typically involves substantial motions of wrist, hands and/or fingers; visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing data, operating equipment or review thoroughness of work; ability to communicate with others and exchange information. When determining placement within the salary range for this position Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago considers education, experience, internal equity, market demands and other qualifying criteria. It is not typical for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the rage for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances of each case.

 Certain roles are eligible to participate in an incentive plan. Participation in this plan does not guarantee an incentive payment and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan, which are subject to change.
