Septic Technician

Job Overview
Goodman Sanitation, Inc. dba Goodman Septic Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Septic Technician to join our team. This role involves performing pumping, maintenance, and repair of septic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and DEQ regulations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment operation, and a strong work ethic. This position offers opportunities for hands-on work in a variety of working environments, utilizing various tools and machinery to deliver quality service to clients.

Responsibilities when trained:

• Safely drive and operate a CDL Septic Pump Truck (Class B or above with Tanker & Air Brakes Endorsement).
• Represent Goodman Septic Services in a positive manner.
• Learn to be a clear communicator and thoughtful problem solver.
• Use equipment and resources to locate septic tank and distribution boxes.
• Troubleshoot issues, communicate needs with customers, and follow through to resolutions.
• Perform necessary digging to access septic tanks for service if necessary.

After three months on the job and training, you'll know you're successful if:

• You can drive to and complete your assigned jobs without assistance.
• You have a good knowledge of septic systems and how they work.
• You can successfully complete assigned jobs within the time range given.
• You communicate with your supervisor/dispatch team to resolve issues.
• You receive positive customer reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site work or related field is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot various machinery and tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Class B or Above Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker & Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Clean driving record including passing the required DOT Physical and Drug Screen.
• Experience with septic operations is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime, including early mornings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.

This position requires a dedicated individual capable of working independently while maintaining safety standards. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and have a commitment to quality workmanship.

Job offers made by Goodman Sanitation, Inc. will be contingent upon successful completion of initial drug screen and background check, as well as random ongoing drug and alcohol screening.

This position is paid hourly starting at $32.00 p/hr and includes a favorable commission structure which will be available to qualified applicants.
