Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas using established recipes and techniques, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and assembling ingredients with precision and care.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production appliances.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza options and seasonal specials based on customer preferences.
- Support high-volume production during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food safety management and meal preparation standards.
- Proven restaurant or culinary experience with a focus on pizza or similar cuisine is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production are essential.
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume food service environments will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling protocols, and catering practices is required.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and service.
