Job Summary
Join our team as a Barista/Cashier! Looking for candidates 21 . Come work next to Pine Point Beach in a market focused on providing the best products from local brands and small businesses. Your energy and attention to detail will create memorable experiences for every guest.
In this role, you will craft delicious beverages including coffee drinks, teas, and lemonade. You will also ring up customers and take their order, all while providing exceptional service that keeps patrons coming back.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
- Handle all cash register transactions accurately using Square, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and deliver excellent customer service to foster a welcoming environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to the workspace rules and guidelines.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
- Restock supplies, organize the coffee area, and assist with food preparation as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Opening shift duties/closing shift duties including cleaning, stocking, trash and other opening/closing duties
Experience
- Must be 21 years or older
- Previous barista experience or background in food service is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques within the food industry a plus.
- Experience in serving beverages and light food preparation is a plus.
