Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a professional with strong observational skills, conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other unlawful activities.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities for record-keeping purposes.
- Control access points by verifying credentials of visitors and employees.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activity and intervening when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence on-site.
Requirements
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Must be physically fit to perform patrols and respond quickly in emergencies.
