Full-time, Part-time, and per diem/casual positions available. Day, evening and night shifts.

Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides quality direct care and services to residents. Promotes person-centered care for optimal quality of life. Duties include helping residents with activities of daily living. Additional duties include helping to support a clean-living environment, facilitating patient care and communicating with healthcare team and family members.
Essential Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
License: Active New York State CNA Certification (Required)
Qualifications: BLS and/or CPR certification preferred.
Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
Experience: Prior CNA experience preferred
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assisting Residents with Activities of Daily Living to include but not limited to;
- Personal Hygiene
- Dressing
- Skin Care
- Mobility
- Nutritional & hydration support
Ensuring a safe environment
- Maintain cleanliness & infection control procedures
- Observe principles of accident prevention
- Observe and comply with safety guidelines and standards, to include HAZCOM & Universal precautions
- Respond timely to call bells and alarms/alerts
- Observing and reporting to nursing any changes in resident’s physical and/or mental state
- Completion of required documentation; i.e. logs, care cards, EMR, report, etc.
Transportation & Mobility
- Transport and/or escort residents to activities and appointments within facility
- Lifts, moves and transports resident using proper body mechanics and lifting devices
Resident Rights & Dignity
- Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of residents
- Upholds GS Resident Rights
- Communicates professionally with residents & their family
- Protects resident belongings & promptly reports missing items
Competencies & Education
- Performs competencies to keep skills up to date & current
- Completes all Healthcare Academy courses and on-going education as required
- Attends in-services as required
All other duties as assigned

Occasionally: Lifting/Carrying 26 lbs Pushing/Pulling 50 lbs Sitting. Crouching, Crawling, Climbing Stairs
