Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development, strong classroom management skills, and experience working with children with diverse needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners’ lives while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
  • Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort at all times.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques.
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum and educational activities that foster growth in early childhood development areas.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques.
  • Experience with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed.
  • Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility and nurturing skills is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children, parents, and team members are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $24.74 per hour
