This is an on-site position, located in Vincennes, IN. The position requires 100% of work to be completed on-site.
Job Summary: Designs, implements, and leads enterprise and datacenter network architectures with a strong focus on security, resiliency, scalability, and operational excellence. Serves as a senior technical authority for network infrastructure, mentors engineers, and collaborates cross‑functionally to translate business requirements into secure, highly available network solutions.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Strategic Planning and Design: Develop and implement network strategies that align with business goals, ensuring scalability, resilience, and future growth.
2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior architects, engineers, and other team members.
3. Network Implementation: Oversee the implementation of network solutions, ensuring they meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
4. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex network issues, identify and remediate performance bottlenecks, and ensure optimal network performance.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with various teams, including IT, business, and vendors, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and performance metrics.
7. Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest network technologies and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications:
Location -- Onsite
Education -- Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking, engineering, or a related field or an equivalent amount of hands-on experience.
Experience -- Minimum of 5 years of IT infrastructure experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or
-- Minimum of 8 years of IT infrastructure experience without a degree.
Skills --
Enterprise & Datacenter Networking
- Hands‑on experience designing and supporting large‑scale enterprise and datacenter networks.
- Strong understanding of high‑availability design, redundancy models, and fault‑tolerant architectures.
Cisco & Fortinet Networking & Security
- Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco and Fortinet switches, routers, firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, and access points in enterprise environments.
- Advanced Routing & WAN Technologies
- In‑depth knowledge of BGP, dynamic routing protocols, SD‑WAN architectures, and multi‑path WAN designs.
Network Security & Access Control
- Strong security mindset with experience implementing 802.1X, AAA (RADIUS/TACACS ), and secure access models.
- Understanding of Zero Trust principles as applied to enterprise networking.
Network Monitoring & Visibility
- Experience with enterprise network monitoring platforms such as Zabbix or similar tools.
- Ability to design actionable alerts, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Network Automation & Configuration Control
- Experience automating network configuration deployment, standardization, and backups.
- Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, REST APIs, or vendor automation frameworks).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible
Patching, Vulnerability & Risk Management
- Proven experience managing network device patching, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
- Expert‑level ability to troubleshoot complex routing, switching, wireless, and firewall issues.
Documentation & Communication
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), Fortinet (NSE 4–8), or equivalent enterprise networking and security certifications.
