- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, hallways, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and proper handling procedures.
- Use manual handling techniques to lift, move, and position cleaning equipment or supplies safely, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain floor care standards by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and slip-free.
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections and support infection control policies.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers or buffers with safe lifting practices and proper training.
- Document completed tasks accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
Requirements
- Experience with hospital or healthcare facility cleaning protocols is beneficial.
