Duties
- Receive, inspect, and process donated goods at the dock, ensuring proper documentation and quality standards are met
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory accurately and streamline order picking and shipping processes
- Assist with order picking activities using
pickers and other tools to fulfill requests efficiently - Load and unload donations and supplies, ensuring heavy lifting is performed safely following OSHA guidelines
- Support shipping & receiving operations by organizing materials for dispatch or storage while maintaining safety protocols
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas to uphold OSHA standards and promote a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks; relevant certifications are a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation and maintenance
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or similar technology tools
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments
- Warehouse supervisor experience or construction background is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling
