Job Summary And Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist II develops and delivers comprehensive occupational therapy programs to patients requiring these services. Programs are directed at restoration of function and consist primarily of activities of daily living, functional muscle re-education, perceptual-cognitive training, purposeful functional activities, custom splinting, provision of assistive and adaptive devices, and prevocational or work related skills. Re-evaluates and adjusts these programs to meet patients changing needs. She/he delegates portions of treatment to aides and assistants, directing and supervising as indicated. Participates in performance improvement and department development activities. Interacts with the multidisciplinary patient care teams for coordinated patient care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
• Bachelors Degree
• Current California License as an Occupational Therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
• 1 year full time equivalent or more hospital experience
