Busser/Food Runner

Upscale/Casual Restaurant located in the heart of Woodbury, CT seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Busser/Food Runner to join our dynamic team. The Busser plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting.

Duties

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks clearing and resetting tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen, including bussing tables and disposing of waste properly.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and ensure that any special requests or dietary restriction dishes go to correct guests.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, enhancing their overall dining experience.
• Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.

Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
• Food service operations, including catering and restaurant environments, is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with both guests and kitchen staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality service.
• A background in food handling or knowledge of the food industry is required.
