Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to meet their needs and answer questions about products
- Educate customers on different cannabis strains, consumption methods, and product effects through engaging product demos and detailed explanations
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences and desired effects, upselling when appropriate to enhance their experience
- Maintain an organized and attractive retail space by merchandising products effectively and restocking shelves regularly
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Conduct stock checks, inventory counts, and assist with product stocking to ensure availability of popular items
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or placing orders remotely
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles, preferably within grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math tasks with accuracy
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey product information and engage with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Experience with POS systems and cash register operations for efficient transactions
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to optimize product displays and store layout
- Familiarity with cannabis products, including knowledge of different strains, effects, and consumption methods is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional remote communication
